I hate Windows 10

I am so totally pissed off with Windows 10!!! First it knackered my computer and re-formatting wouldn't solve the problem so I had to buy a new one one, and now it won't let me load my Adobe software. I am SO not happy right now.
Out of interest, what software do other Windows 10 users have on their PC's? Anyone care to recommend anything?

Date: 2017-08-27 11:05 am (UTC)I've had issues with Windows 10 since I was forced into an upgrade, every update I've held my breath because I always ended up with the spinning circle and a black screen, and after a day or so I would give up and turn it off. Up until recently it's managed to 'save' itself but not this time. The last thing it said before going kaput was updating security settings, I'm guessing it was that that screwed it up.
Hubby reviewed our error and it seems quite a few people were affected by this last update. The fact that Windows announcing that it was released by mistake, makes me wonder if it had glitches.
You mentioned before that you tend to use online resources, would you mind sharing the links with me? I've downloaded Affinity and am currently using a 10 day free trial. :D

Date: 2017-08-27 05:01 pm (UTC)I also use befunky for some things, but more and more of that is no longer free to use, it's getting ridiculous!
Picmonkey is another that I've used, but again, more and more of it is no longer free, I've got a bit fed up with it. Still, it can be useful for a few things, like rounded edges (in the 'borders' section, both transparent and not).
I think the latter two might have free trials, but I'm not positive. All of them are online software (ie, you upload your artwork and work on it online, and then save back to your computer afterwards). Hope this helps!

Date: 2017-08-28 04:10 pm (UTC)I've had a dabble with Pixlr already, it's similar to Adobe in a lot of ways and its great for making icons so YAY. I haven't figured out how to crop on Affinity LOL. I should probably look at a tut or something.
I'll be taking a look at the other sites too. You can never have too many resources. :D
Thanks again.
