Gen Bingo - Trapped - The Sentinel

In this scene from Most Wanted, Harry has just triggered a booby trap to ensnare Jim and Blair in an enclosed room thinking they were feds chasing him. When he realises they're the local cops he tries to convince them that he's not the guy they're looking for and offers them his help (with conditions) to capture the man impersonating him.

I tried to project a 'trapped' look but as the scene plays out on two levels it was more difficult than I originally anticipated. On reflection I probably should have selected another fandom and used an imprisoned moment which played out on one level, but I wanted the challenge of trying to do the split scene and I had fun trying to make it work. :D

I think because of the man on the upper left corner looking down on them this wallpaper conveys very clearly a feeling of being trapped.

But at least they are trapped together .... *g*

Lovely wallpaper with a nice coloring of mostly brown tones - but blue for the man one who trapped them and has the blue sky (freedom) in his back.

Thanks! I'm glad you think it works and yes, at least they're trapped together LOL.

I never thought of the blue behind Harry as signifying freedom when I was making it, cool interpretation...thanks for giving me some further insight into my wall. ♥

Well, I for one love this. I love the depth of the shadows, the colour palette and the positioning of the figures. The looking down/looking up contrast most certainly conveys a sense of being trapped. A lovely composition. :))

Thanks! I was hoping the exchange of up and down looks would work, so it's great to hear that it does. I quite liked the brown tones in this one and one of the filters seemed to make it pop even more. :D

Well, I like it. The dull browns help set the mood. So okay, that's the show, but you've run with it, if that makes sense.

Thanks! And yes, I know what you mean. :D

I love and have saved it, it does get the feeling of being in an enclosed space (and might give me ideas :)

Thanks. I'm glad you think it works and woo hoo about it possibly giving you some ideas. :)

BTW, I love the weathered look and colour tones of your icon, it fits with the feel of the icon itself.

I love this one. But then again, there is nothing you do that I don't love. Great job.

Aww, thanks, Patt!! I'm touched by your kind words.

I think it works really well! Harry being up on high with blue sky behind him, and them being caught, trapped in brown tones (earthed, buried), is perfect for the sensation of being trapped.

I'd be really pleased how it turned out, if I were you.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I enjoyed playing with all the different angled shots in this scene, so it's great to hear that this is one of the factors that stood out to you. :)
