As one of my resolutions I decided to make at least 1 piece of artwork per month because otherwise I don't seem to do anything, and a small target is better than no target in my eyes so lets see how I get on with it. Fingers crossed I won't give up.

I'm jumping off with a calendar (which I hope to do monthly aswell) and a non-calendar piece for MacGyver. I'm not very happy with the calendar template (or placement) I created this month and I'm hoping to improve on it for next month. :D

I don't know why I selected this as my first square coz as an angst junkie I really struggled to think of a nice, happy, nostalgic moment. After pondering way more than I should have I settled on MacGyver and used the opening scenes of Hell Week. In this episode an old mentor of Mac's asks him (as a previous winner) to judge the annual physics competition called 'Barricade'. Of course it's never that simple and trouble ensues but I stuck to the parameters of the prompt and focussed on the one scene and resisted the temptation to play with the remainder of the episode. :D
