Gen Bingo - Hello Again: Resurrection - The Sentinel

I thought the scene of Jim using his animal spirit to bring Blair back to life in SenToo would be a great choice for the prompt Hello Again: Resurrection, but I found it suprisingly difficult to project what I wanted to with the caps available and as a result I feel somewhat disappointed in the final product, still, it works (or at least I think it does) so I'm posting it to my bingo card.

Well, even if it didn't do quite what you wanted it to (and I think a lot of us know that feeling) it still looks pretty cool.

Thanks. And yes, I'm sure lots of people know exactly how I feel. ♥

I really love this! It's got so much tucked away into it. Incacha, the animal leap, the heartbeat, even the paramedic giving the thumbs-up! Plus the little vignette of the group gives a great sense of perspective.

But the crucial things are of course the studies of Blair and Jim. Great choice of shots here, and deployed brilliantly in the overall image. I like the triangular effect with drowned Blair and distraught Jim at the top, then the glowing moment of resurrection below. Plus all the images flow in a narrative way as well, with despair at the top, then action in the middle, and the restoration! But it's all very subtle and blends together beautifully.

It's that shot of Jim that gets me, and it gets me every time. At that moment he just looks so defeated and *old*. Emotive stuff from Mr Burgi there. It gives a fine sense of what Jim will be if Blair never wakes up.
Fab work, ma'am! :))

Oh wow, thanks for the detailed and very kind feedback, hon. I'm glad to hear you think I projected the scene so well. I found it quite restricting in that there were so many close up shots and not enough body shots to work with.

And yes, RB does a fab job in that scene. The initial shot of his despair is even more emotive, in this one there's at least a smidge of hope mixed in too.

Thanks for the lovely feedback!

u iz welcome, darlin'. Well deserved. I am a junkie for that scene anyway... ;)

This is flawless. Perfection. The font is even perfect for the art. You really thought this out well and it shows. Great job. :)

Thanks, Patt! I was trying for a spiritual looking font when I selected that one so I'm glad you think it works with the artwork. :)

Disappointed? I think this works wonderfully well!

Yep, not enough body shots to work with for my liking and so I feel like it lost it's edge a little. I'm glad to hear you think it works. Thanks for the lovely feedback, hon!
